Our pets are part of our family, they're there during all the highs and lows of life. Many people want their pets present on one of the biggest days of their life, their wedding day! Here are a few different ideas of how to include your dog in the wedding.

Walk down the aisle together - This is a beautiful way to show how special your pup is to you. Decorate their leash with flowers or leaves and then have a friend or family member sitting in the front row take them for you while you say your vows.

Ring Bearer/flower girl - If your dog is independent enough to walk on their own and can listen to commands this is a super cute idea! They can carry a bouquet or flower basket in their mouth down the aisle or you can strap the rings on top of the dog and have them delivered to you.

Dog of Honor - Yes you can still have your maid of honor or your best man, but this reserves a special place for your furry friend next to you during the ceremony.

Pet pics - Make sure your wedding photographer knows you want some special pictures of the newlyweds with their pet! The day gets crazy and goes by in the blink of an eye, so if your photographer is aware of what you want they'll make sure to stage some photos of you with your dog. If you don’t want to worry about your pet the day of your wedding that’s ok, bring them with you to take engagement pictures instead!

Dress them up - A cute little tutu, bowtie, or tuxedo will ensure your dog is dressed their best for the occasion!

Let them get ready with you - Have your pet hangout with you in the bridal suite with you and your bridesmaids so they can be with you before the ceremony! While everyone is chatting, getting dressed, and popping some champagne your pup will love being around all the excitement.

Put them on your invites and/or thank yous - It can definitely be stressful to have to worry about your dog during your wedding day. So if you prefer not to have them at the ceremony you can still include them in other ways! One of my favorites is putting a sticker, paw print, or photo of your dog on your stationary.

This is a day you'll remember for the rest of your life, so don't leave out one of the most important members of the family! This is a moment you, your partner, your guests, and especially your furry friend will never forget.
