The Event Boutique interviewed one local New York City couple whose wedding was postponed due to the Covid19 Health Crisis. The wedding of Ms.Lital Leger and Mr. Anton Karpukhin was set to be held on Easter Sunday 2020 with friends and family. And what extra special Easter it would have been ! - if not for the social distancing requirements mandated by the state in just the few weeks prior to their date. With the invitations sent and the money spent, the couple reluctantly had to call off their wedding! In spite of the situation, most of the vendors Lital and Anton booked for their wedding honored their contracts and the couple lost a relative low amount of funds. They were grateful for all of the cooperation and dedication they received from their venue and vendors. Lital told us the hardest thing about postponing was passing by and seeing her wedding dress hanging up just waiting to be worn everyday !  However, she understood health was more important and didn't mind postponing! The couple quarantined together in their new New Jersey home and made the best of the situation by renovating as much as possible ! Anton, a professional carpenter by trade constructed a new custom kitchen, cabinets and all for his bride! They are both delighted to live in a dream home together and look forward to many memories to come. Anton especially can't wait for the delicious meals and fruit platters to be made in the new kitchen ! The great news is "Karpukhin Wedding Take 2", as Lital put it, will be taking place very soon with talk of a new date come mid to late July 2020 Her advice to all brides and grooms dealing with rescheduling and postponements is " Take everything one step at a time, don't give up on your dream wedding just because you had to give up the original date!"
